Research projects supported by the Egg Corporation in this area are identified through a general call for proposals during October/November for funding in the next financial year (NOW OPEN).
These preliminary proposals from interested research bodies must be submitted to meet key research priorities set by AECL. The proposals will then be assessed by the On Farm Innovation and Efficiency Industry Consultative Committee. For further information on this process, visit the apply for funding page.
AECL continues to strongly support basic and applied research through this open proposal round. This part of the program represents approximately 40 - 50% of the total R&D budget.
