AHC30110 Certificate III in Agriculture (contextualised for Commercial Egg Production)
The AECL contextualised Certificate III course is available again this year for pullet growers, egg producers and their staff. This course has been specifically designed to cover the tasks involved in pullet rearing and egg production across all production systems from day old to end of lay.
The course will be delivered by RTO’s (Registered Training Organisations) contracted to AECL to enable delivery in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales and using AECL developed training resources. Delivery in Western Australia is under development.
The course is run as a series of workshops spread over a 12-month period. The format is either a 3x3 day or 4x3 day workshop format depending on location.
The course is designed for farm workers who have at least 6 months experience working on an egg production and/or pullet rearing farm. Farms can be operating with cage, barn, free range and/or organic production systems. Pullet rearing may be an integral part of the farm operation or completely separate. The worker may also come from a started pullet supplier.
Farm workers with several years’ experience have participated and returned to the farm with additional knowledge and skills that have benefited their employer. The course completion could be used to assist promotion within the enterprise.
