Easter Entertaining with Manu
GET THE whole family INVOLVED and try something less traditional this Easter
With Easter almost upon us, we asked Manu Feildel to share his tips for easy Easter entertaining as well as share his recipes for three delicious ways to enjoy scotch eggs.
Manu says, “I’ve given the classic scotch egg a twist that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. I know your guests will love my recipes for pork and fennel scotch egg with grainy mustard mayo, smoked salmon scotch egg with dill tartare sauce and middle eastern lamb scotch egg with harissa mayo. And, if you’re hosting an Easter feast for friends and family, it doesn’t need to be stressful. I’ve shared my tips for a fun, relaxed day with plenty of delicious food!”
Manu’s Tips
1. Ask guests to bring a dish
Easter is a time to celebrate with family and friends so why not all work together to create the ultimate feast? Allocate a different course to everyone and watch as the lunch table builds itself full of delicacies.
2. Surprise guests with less traditional food
Traditional Easter food is delicious but surprise your guests with something unexpected. I love scotch eggs and Easter is the perfect time to enjoy them, so this year I’m serving a selection of different scotch eggs at our Easter lunch. You can find links to each of the recipes below.

3. Activities for kids
Once the excitement of the Easter egg hunt has worn off, give kids another activity. Prepare some blown out egg shells and set up an area for decorating them with paints and other craft items like feathers, sequins and felt. Make sure you save the egg insides for scrambled eggs or an omelette!
4. Don’t throw out leftovers
When entertaining, we’re bound to cook up way more food than what we’re going to eat so don’t let your leftovers go to waste. Use eggs and leftover vegetables for a frittata, and if you’re already tired of Easter eggs turn them into a chocolate cake or a decadent mousse.
